Italiacamp Dubai Hub for Made in Italy
A bridge between Italian companies expanding in the Middle East, North Africa and South East Asia, and leading local businesses and entrepreneurs
Italiacamp was founded in 2010 with the aim of creating value for the country. This mission has evolved with the organisation and now also means working for the internationalisation of Italian companies that can develop in markets where Made in Italy still has great opportunities to be seized.
To meet this challenge, in 2022 Italiacamp set up Italiacamp EMEA, a Dubai-based company that manages the Dubai Hub for Made in Italy, a space of about 2,000 sqm inside the Convention Tower in the Free Zone of the Dubai World Trade Centre with offices, meeting rooms, event rooms and coworking spaces. Italiacamp EMEA supports Italian companies and organisations in accelerating their internationalisation processes in the Gulf countries.
Entrepreneurial development in the MENA region also means spreading the expertise of Made in Italy, which is why the hub provides access to training courses aimed at business exchange and the promotion of Italian companies’ products and services.
The majority of the share capital of Italiacamp EMEA is held by Italiacamp srl, while a minority stake is held by SIMEST (CDP Group), which invested in the company by joining as a shareholder in 2024. Also involved in the operation is the Venture Capital Fund, an instrument that SIMEST manages in agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
