Italiacamp Signs New Strategic Agreements to Support the Internationalization of Made in Italy in the United Arab Emirates

Rome, February 24, 2025 – Italiacamp is strengthening its presence in the Gulf region through the signing of two strategic agreements with the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP) and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for SME Development (Dubai SME). These two key institutions in the UAE are recognized for their focus on innovation and support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The agreements were signed in the presence of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and UAE President HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during the Italy–United Arab Emirates Business Forum, held in Rome at the Hotel Parco dei Principi. The event was organized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, along with the Ministries of Economy and Foreign Affairs of the UAE, with the support of ICE AgencyCDP, and SACE. The forum brought together representatives from the business sector, major financial institutions, and trade associations from both countries.

A New Hub Dedicated to Italian Companies

The Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP) is a key innovation and technology ecosystem in the UAE, hosting companies, startups, and research centers from around the world. It offers a highly innovative environment and cutting-edge infrastructure for the development of new projects.

The agreement with SRTIP includes the establishment of a hub within the Sharjah technology park to facilitate Italian companies’ access to business, research, and development opportunities in the UAE market. Under the agreement, Italiacamp will support Italian businesses with regulatory compliance, business development, and fundraising, while SRTIP will provide workspace, laboratories, and incentives tailored to companies.

Increased Competitiveness for Italian SMEs with Dubai SME

Dubai SME, an institution under Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), plays a crucial role in supporting and informing small and medium-sized enterprises in Dubai.

The collaboration between Italiacamp and Dubai SME aims to enhance the competitiveness of Italian SMEs by diversifying their customer base and improving access to innovative tools for tenders and procurement in the United Arab Emirates. The program includes joint initiatives to promote the integration of Italian companies into strategic development projects in key sectors.
