The Model
ItaliaCamp successfully connects institutions, academia, companies and people through an innovative model that allows stakeholders to exchange ideas and participate in the discussion of issues of global importance. This model benefits not only from new technologies now available, but also succeeds in adapting new tools – including the BarCamp model: a synergic “non-conference” tool of American origin, that allows each participant to make his/her own contribution while at the same time ensuring that nobody is left on the sidelines.
USACamp
The 2014 edition of “Your Idea for the Country” had a more global dimension: the 20 most promising ideas, identified by ICA with the help of an international panel drawn from Universities, research centers and the business world, won the possibility to participate in an international roadshow in the United States.
From the 25th of February to the 4th of March 2014, a delegation of 100 Italian representatives participated to USACamp. During the first BarCamp ever to be held in the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange and thematic Global Executive Seminars organised in New York and Washington, the top innovative ideas “made and brained in Italy” were presented to institutions, companies and international investors.
